Main tasks:

The firm seeks to identify and capitalize on global opportunities in the public equity markets, long-short, and in the private equity markets, direct and alongside sponsors. The firm is looking for a fully qualified Accountant to be based in Monaco. Candidates should note that the family office is looking to hire someone on a permanent contract.

Reporting to the Founder of the business, the Accountant will be responsible for managing the booking and all the financial transactions to meet IFRS rules and compliance. There is still some backlog work to be done accounting for the 2023 period, before turning your attention to the set-up of procedures and processes to smoothly integrate the weekly accounting tasks associated with the company's business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Accounting entries in the system, make sure that the financial information and accounting records impacting Local and IFRS GAAP ledgers are complete, accurate and auditable.

• Control of the writing and accounting analysis.

• Accounting statements.

• Prepare month-end reporting.

• Ensure that process and internal policies are respected.

• Prepare other ad-hoc and routine reports.

• Be available to answer any financial queries from the manager.

• perform ad-hoc analyses and produce reports for internal and external (auditors, regulators) distribution.

• Prepare financial statements for local charter accountants.

Your profile:

The relevant candidate is educated to degree calibre in Accountancy and Finance. You are qualified to Chartered Accountancy standard - Ordre des Experts-Comptables (Institute of Chartered Accountants) OEC or Good Accounting Practice (GAP). Other internationally recognised Chartered Accounting accreditations will be considered. We would be keen for the relevant candidate to have a good appreciation of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). This role will suit candidates from a range of industry sectors and we would like to hear from anyone who has previously done accountancy work for a family office, high net worth individual. Excellent business level written and spoken English is a must.
